 Situated in the central highlands of Southern Guatemala, Antigua is a small city surrounded by numerous lush coffee plantations and majestic volcanoes. It’s renowned for its is vibrant traditions, well -preserved Spanish colonial buildings, unique beauty and historical significance. It once served as the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Guatemala and today, it has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can look forward to exploring the impressive architecture of the Baroque La Merced Church, wander down pastel-facades lining character-filled streets, browse a bustling local market and people-watch in one of many plazas. Don’t miss the annual famous holy week of Semana Santa Festival featuring colorful parades and sacred rituals. 

Breakfast. Departure from your hotel to visit Antigua Guatemala. There you will visit the Colonial Monuments of Antigua Guatemala, declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity and considered one of the most beautiful colonial cities of America, during the colonial period was the capital of the Kingdom of Guatemala that included the southern provinces of Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica; political, cultural, religious, economic center of the Central American area, the city stopped its march after the earthquake in 1773, the city was uninhabited and then moved to the Nueva Guatemala de la Asunción (official name of Guatemala City). Continue visiting the Jade factory and the handicraft market. At the end of the tour, return to the hotel for accommodations.

Breakfast. Transfer from your hotel to the Guatemalan Highlands along the Panamerican Highway to Chichicastenango, a quiche Indian town surrounded by hills and mountains that jealously keep the inhabitants’ traditions, as they melt their prehispanic and catholic rituals at the 400 years old church of Santo Tomas, built on the remains of a Mayan Temple. Here, market days, Thursdays and Sundays, acquire great meaning and smoky incense impregnates the atmosphere with mysticism and religiosity. People barter their product and the market explodes with color, tradition, and folklore. At indicated time, transfer to Panajachel, a village located on the shores of Lake Atitlan. Considered as one of the most beautiful lakes around the world, surrounded by three volcanoes Atitlan, Tolimán, and San Pedro that tare protecting the lake. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to the Hotel for accommodations.

Breakfast.

At indicated time, you will enjoy a morning boat trip to San Juan La Laguna, this village is of Cackchiquel origin and its inhabitants are mainly fishermen and farmers, as well as textile manufacturers. At indicated time, transfer from Panajachel to Guatemala City. 

 Fondly known by locals as simply ‘Pana’, the quiet Cakchiquel village of Panajachel has been popular with tourists since the 1960s. The town rests on the northern shore of the crystalline Lake Atitlan and it serves as the main transport hub for travellers eager to explore this spectacularly scenic natural area featuring three dramatic volcanoes. The main street hosts a range of hotels, restaurants, and shops as well as vendors selling a variety of handicrafts such as weaving products, wood carvings, and clothing. Popular activities include kayaking, bike tours, climbing volcanoes, bar-hopping, and visits to nearby villages. Don’t miss the nearby Atitlan Nature Reserve and butterfly sanctuary where you can catch a glimpse of the local wildlife, walk on hanging bridges towards the waterfall or the private beach, or whizz across the valley on eight zip lines offering incredible views of the lake and the volcanoes. 

Box breakfast will be delivered by the hotel. At 04:00 am, you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Mundo Maya International Airport in Petén. At arrival, visit to the Archaeological Site of Tikal “Place of Voices”, surrounded by the tropical forest that has kept Tikal in its millennial dream. Visit the main Plaza and the Temple of the Great Jaguar, central acropolis, Mundo Perdido and temple IV from where you can observe the majesty of the city and the emerald green jungle. After lunch (included – no drinks), transfer to the selected hotel for accommodations..

Breakfast. At indicated time, transfer to the Archaeological Site of Yaxhá. Upon arrival, visit the site of Yaxhá, the name of the city is of ancient origin, literally meaning blue-green (Yax) water (ha). The Mayan site of Yaxha is located in a privileged location, between two lagoons named Yaxhá and Sacnab can be observed from the top of several archaeological monuments, giving the area a unique landscape beauty. After visit continue to El Portal de Yaxha for lunch (no beverages included). At indicated time transfer to the Mundo Maya International Airport to board flight back to Guatemala City. Upon arrival, transfer to the selected hotel for accommodations.
